Highlights of food packaging in swop 2015 unveiled

Shanghai world of packaging (swop) will be held on November 17-21, 2015 in Shanghai New International Expo Centre. Comprised of four professional exhibitions - PacPro Asia, CHINA-PHARM, FoodPex, BulkPex, swop will provide a one-stop platform for pharmaceutical, food and cosmetics processing and the entire packaging industry supply chain. Nearly 100 food packaging exhibitors will be gathered in FoodPex.

The market of food processing and packaging in China is promising with nearly 6,000 companies, most of them small and medium sized. From 2011 to 2015, the gross output of food processing and packaging is estimated to achieve RMB 600 billion ($96.6billion) and continually increased 16% every year. In order to meet the rising demand for quality and hygiene in food from consumers, FoodPex, one of 4 shows in swop, will gather nearly 100 exhibitors to display latest food processing and packaging technology and machinery. 

Multivac, one of the world's leading suppliers for food packaging solutions, and Hastamat, Textor will display together the latest technology and innovations for the food industry. Theegarten-Pactec, FAWEMA, Marchesini, Newamstar, Hangzhou Zhongya, Pharmpack and other exhibitors will exhibit packaging machinery covering the fields of sweets, flour, beverage, wine, dairy, condiment and household & personal care products. Xylem, innovative solutions provider to global water challenges will share the total water life cycle for food and beverage operations across a wide range of applications, including everything from water supply and water reuse, to boosting and fire suppression. Meanwhile, AOKI, YIZUMI, TEDERIC, FU CHUN SHIN and other suppliers on injection mold and labeling, which can rarely be seen at other shows will attend swop 2015 as exhibitors.

Furthermore international pavilions from Germany, Italy and Japan will also be present at swop. What makes swop special most will be the attendance of paper packaging exhibitors such as KOLBUS, YOUNGSUN, TOYO INK and etc.

Informative concurrent events interpret future trends in food packaging!

In the food market, the importance of packaging is self-evident. Packaging does not only avoid the biological, chemical and physical contamination of food from the factory to the consumers, but also maintain the products' quality and make it's use convenient. At the same time, beautiful packaging design attracts consumers.

Concurrent the trade fair, the organizers will co-organize the "Suppliers and manufacturers interaction seminar - Future of packaging from the needs of brands "with "Packaging Family" (a non-profit organization representing a group of packaging professionals in China involved in packaging design, production, purchasing and etc.). The seminar, consists of case analysis, new production launchs, exhibition visiting, interaction and other activities and will cover interesting topics from food & beverage, cosmetics, personal health care packaging field. JNG, L’OREAL, Pepsi-Cola, Estee Lauder, Unilever, Heinz, Yum! and other end-users will attend the conference.

From the beginning swop has received strong support from more than 40 packaging and related industrial associations in China and all over the world, who will help organize buyer groups to attend swop.
